All public records requests will be responded to within ten (10) business days after receipt of request. Responses may indicate further time is necessary, additional information is required, or an estimate of fees required to fulfill the request, as examples. Pursuant to the Public Records Law, all exemptions will be redacted from any and all material being released.

I, the requestor, realize I may be charged fees for copies where electronic records are not available. When the request is for materials that are not susceptible to ordinary means of reproduction, such as photographs, computer tapes, large maps, etc., then the actual cost of reproduction may be assessed to the requestor. I realize I may be charged a reasonable fee to recover the costs of complying with a public records request, including but not limited to searching, compiling, segregating, redacting and reproducing requested records. If there is a cost to be assessed, the Town will provide a good-faith fee estimate and may require the payment in advance of fulfilling the request. The records custodian must respond to requests as soon as practicable, without unreasonable delay and within ten business days. The response must be either an offer to provide the requested materials or a written denial citing the applicable exemption(s).
